Art Class

Utah Heritage Artists: The Utah Heritage Artists would like to invite anyone interested to paint with them on Monday afternoons from 1 p.m.–4 p.m. Most of the students, who range from beginners to professionals, paint in oils, but there are a few that enjoy watercolors.  As the students work on their own projects, helpful tips are received from each other and Betsy Baird, the instructor. Betsy is a member of the Utah Valley Artists Guild and former leader of the Utah County Art Board. Two billiard tables are available for play daily. Top or Activities


Bingo is played every Wednesday after lunch. Winners of each game receive $2 cash. Each week there is a chance to win the "big bingo" prize of at least $50.00. Swap Bingo (bring something to swap) is played every Friday at 10:00 a.m. Additionally, once a month there is a morning game at 10:30 a.m. Caller is Art Richardson. Top or Activities

Blood Pressure Clinic

Have your blood pressure, oxygen level, and blood sugar level tested by representatives of various healthcare providers. Top or Activities

Bluegrass Class

Beginner and Advanced classes are available; bring your stringed instrument and learn to play in a band. The group occasionally performs. Teacher: Jessica Knight, an experience muscian teaching violin, viola, cello, bass, banjo, guitar, mandolin, and more! Top or Activities

Board Meeting (monthly)

All Senior Center members are welcome to sit in on the monthly board meetings. Your input is welcome on how things are currently operating and your suggestions for changes. Top or Activities

Book Club

Books are available to be checked out at the Senior Center for the monthly book club. Top or Activities

Boost Your Brain

No pain, just exercise your brain to retain or improve its function. Meets every Wednesday at 10:00 a.m. Top or Activities


Bunco is a dice game that is very easy to play. There are prizes available for the winners. Top or Activities


Pinochle: Current players are happy to teach new players. The game can be played by three or four and it is first come, first play. Supervisor: Mary Fran Draisker. Top or Activities
Poker: Current players are happy to teach new players. Poker is a family of card games involving betting (poker chips are provided for free) and individual play, whereby the winner is determined by the ranks and combinations of players’ cards. Supervisor: Arleen Cromwell. Top or Activities
Card Game 500: Current players are happy to teach new players. The game is played with two or three tables of four players per table. The players are listed by the supervisor the morning of the game. Supervisor: Mary Fran Draisker. or Activities


Learn the art of turning greenware into finished ceramic pieces. This Springville Senior Center class is for beginners as well as those who have previous experience with ceramics. Greenware, glazes and tools are an additional expense. There is no extra charge for firing when greenware is purchased through the Senior Center. Top or Activities


There are two Windows 8- and one Windows 7-based computers connected to the Internet. You may print off material for twenty-five cents ($0.25) per page or one dollar ($1.00) for photos. There is also one scanner available. Top or Activities

Creative Writing Group

A monthly opportunity for writers of ALL skill levels to explore different writing genres, build confidence, collaborate with others and promote a passion for creative writing. Top or Activities


Dana Sorensen brings an enthusiasm to the dance class held each Tuesday and Thursday at 9:30 a.m.! Enjoy learning different movements while gaining exercise and flexibility. Participants are encouraged to move at their own pace. No prior dance experience is necessary. Top or Activities

Exercise Room

Two tread mills, two stationary bicycles, an elliptical machine and weight machine are available. Top or Activities

Foot Clinic

Nurses from Art City Nursing will soak your feet, then cut your nails and finish with a lotion massage. You will need to sign up ahead of time with a staff member and come at your assigned time. If you are early, you can wait in the reception area to be called in for your session. This service is free of charge to Senior Center members, however tips are appreciated. Top or Activities

Legal (free consultations)

Pro Bono legal assistance provided by the law offices of MacArthur, Heder & Metler. Top or Activities


The Senior Center has a large collection of hard-bound and paperback books and videos you are welcome to borrow. We also accept donations. Top or Activities


Lunch is served at noon. This month's menu. Call for reservations before 2:00 p.m. the day before you want to eat. You can choose from the regular menu or request a Chef's Salad. The food is provided by Mountainland. Top or Activities

Dr. Humphreys visits the Springville Center every eight (8) weeks to clip toenails or give other foot evaluations. Call for an appointment. Top or Activities

Potluck and Games

Bring a Pot Luck item, eat dinner and then let the fun begin! Top or Activities


Join our pottery class which is open to anyone ages 14+. Techniques of hand building and slab building are demonstrated and class members can replicate what is taught or come up with their own designs and projects. Classes are held on Monday and Thursday evenings from 6:00-8:30 p.m. Each class is $7. A five-class punch card may be purchased for $25 ($20 for Senior Center members). Participants must also purchase their own clay ($6 for 25 pounds of clay available at the Senior Center). This class is taught by Dave Jones. Dave is the ceramics instructor at MMHS. When one puzzle is finished another one is brought out to begin again. Sizes of puzzle and puzzle pieces vary as do the number of pieces in the puzzle. Everyone from "I can usually fit in pieces with words on them" to "I've been doing puzzles all my life, let me at it" are welcome to join in. Top or Activities

Red Hats

Our Red Hat Club meets for a luncheon at various locations each month. All members wear their red hats (or pink for those who are under age 50) to the meeting. A one-dollar donation is made each month by each member and at the last meeting of the year, the members decide to which charity the funds will be donated. Top or Activities

Tai Chi

Tai Chi is a system of low-impact, gentle physical exercises and stretching. Focusing on strength and balance, this is an especially great program for seniors. Instructor: Jenifer Banz.  Top or Activities
